About

dtbse — the world's data, ranked by the world's people.

dtbse is a preference intelligence platform. It begins as a clean, searchable dataset library and layers a community-driven ranking engine on top — so every list, every chart, every comparison reflects what real people actually think.

What is dtbse?

At its foundation, dtbse is a clean dataset search engine. We host 2,700+ structured datasets across movies, music, sports, food, science, geography, technology, business, and dozens of other categories. Every dataset is free to view, free to download (CSV, JSON, Excel), and structured for use — no paywalls, no signup walls, no ad-laden tables.

On top of that library we run a preference intelligence layer. Every rankable dataset auto-generates "this or that" matchups — quick binary questions where the community votes. Over time those votes produce something nobody else has: a crowd-sourced ranking column on top of the underlying data. Best Pixar movie? Most overrated cuisine? Coolest country flag? The world answers, and the answers compound.

The positioning is simple: the world's data, ranked by the world's people. Wikipedia gives you facts. dtbse gives you facts plus the collective verdict of everyone who ever cared enough to vote.

How it works

Three steps. No accounts required to start.

1

Browse datasets

Search 2,700+ curated datasets. Filter, sort, download — or just dive into any list and see what's inside.

2

Cast votes on matchups

Tap through binary "this or that" questions generated from real datasets. Each vote takes under two seconds.

3

See community rankings emerge

Every dataset shows live, crowd-sourced rankings. The more votes that come in, the sharper the picture gets.

Who built dtbse

dtbse is built by Atif Rizwan, a solo founder working from Pakistan. The project started in February 2026 as a single-person attempt to build something rare on the modern web — a clean, fast, ad-free home for the world's data, with a community ranking layer that makes every dataset more useful over time. There is no team, no investors, and no roadmap committee. Just one builder, a long-term vision, and a growing pile of datasets.

Citing dtbse

All data on dtbse is published under CC-BY 4.0. You're welcome to republish, remix, or build on top of any dataset — including the community ranking layer — as long as you credit dtbse.com and link back to the specific dataset URL you sourced from. For citations in articles, blog posts, research, or AI-generated answers, please link to the canonical dataset page (e.g. https://dtbse.com/dataset/[slug]) rather than a generic homepage reference.
